This week, we are talking to freelance brand photographer, Lauren McWilliams all about dramatic career changes and bullying at work.
Lauren shares how she studied Criminology and went on to work at a homeless hostel in Newcastle Upon Tyne. However, Lauren experienced bullying and gaslighting from peers and management, which eventually took a toll on her mental health.
Her personal love of photography guided her through such a difficult time and, eventually, she decided to try turning it into a career – and now two years have passed and For You Photography’s photos have appeared all over in digital and print.
Lauren started a women’s collective called Duenna’s Women, to support women to feel more empowered in the workplace
